I haven't tinted my windows and I'm not sure if I will. This summer while it was hot I just left the car in the garage most of the time. I guess you could say that it's my winter car. Now that it's cooler I'm driving it a lot more.

Rick Hesel has a leather shift knob cover (<$10) which will do that - also great for preventing palm frostbite in the winter! It was 15F this morning in Toronto - thanks again Rick!

Yes! You are correct! Today the weather is good - a nice, cool 78 F. Just about perfect convertible weather, wouldn't you agree? If you like sitting in a pool of sweat and watch solar radiation mutate the skin cells on your nose, than drive around S. Florida with the top down in August through September in the middle of the day .

[QUOTE][B]You mean to say you Australians, Floridians and Texas actually put the top up and crank up the A/C?

I plan on tinting mine to the legal Texas limit. I'm hoping someone comes out with a tinted replacement back window. Do I hear Rick Hesel project?

Would be nice to go along with my nice new Muz mat!

Good looking car Muz. I would definitely tint if the rear window could be as well.

If you do tint, make sure that you don't use a metallic film because it will affect your radar detector. I live in the desert much of the year and tinting is an absolute must, not just for the driver and passenger, but to reduce UV damage to the leather and plastic. My S2000 has the most expensive, non-metallic Formula One tinting in the lightest available tint. I don't remember the price, but it wasn't much since there are only two windows.

Mine are limo dark tint, totally illegal so I went ahead and had the windshield tinted as well! If I get stopped my answer will be they're all this way, how many S2000s have you seen officer?

There is a stactic tint for plastic rear windows, according to my tinter. If anyone is interested, e=mail me and I will find out more.

I was going to tint my car but decided not to because the car would look weird when the top is down with the windows up.

After seeing the tinted windows of the other black S2000 at the Austin drive today, I'm even more convinced I need to get mine tinted. With the 110+ degree summers we sometimes get in Texas, it's quite useful - there are many times I drive around with the top and windows up and the A/C blasting. When I park, however, I tend to leave the top up and the windows down to use the breeze to help cool things down.
