Default The time has come to buy the S

The 2005's are coming in in the next week or so and I will be trading in my Z for an S.
I do have a few questions though.
I want a Silverstone S but that leaves me with which interior to pick. The two toned red/black interior or the regular black interior.
Does anyone have a two toned S, do you still love it or has the red gotten on your nerves over time? Also how does it look in person? As good, worse or better than in pictures?

Finally, I have the option of buying a 2003 with 8000 miles on it for 28000 or getting the new 2005. I've read all the differences on paper but have only driven the 03. Has anyone driven both... If so what are your impressions and which do you like best and why?

Thanks for the help.

Personally, I think the red / black interior is the perfect match for the silver colors.
Let's face it, it's not a large car.....and the interior is sized accordingly. The all black interior cars look great, but after spending a weekend in one I felt it made the car seem more cramped than it actually was. I'm not the least bit claustrophobic, but the contrasting red just helps it not seem like you've just been fitted for a straightjacket

I've got no data for you on the '05,
Brian

Get the '05, you do not know how the owner of the '03 treated the engine or the clutch. Much safer to own the car from the first mile. You cannot go wrong with any of the interior colors, I would go for the red/black. You will thank yourself. Good luck!!

For the $4K difference in price you have a new car, colors you want, and a full warrantee. Cheap dollars in the long run.

Cool, thanks for the feed back.

So far it seems like we're all on the same page.

I've never bought a used car and the clutch did indeed feel a little worn... The upside was an added 7 year drive and powertrain warranty from honda but still I'm leaning towards the new one.

The only reason I'd consider the old one is the higher redline and suspension setup that has not been retuned to be "safer". Also like the .92 g's it used to pull more than the .89 the new one does.
All these points are countered by the numerous improvements in the 04/05 but ultimately it comes down to the way it feels driving it, that's why I was asking if anyone had driven both.
