Time-based oil change?

I usuallly use last years oil on the first few drives of the new season. But I dump it before I do hard driving or track days. I use mobil 1, any full synthetic and you should be fine.

I'm not sure this is something to worry about. I stored an old Z for 8 years after filling up the engine with oil. The oil was drained and replaced - the car started right up and is perfectly fine.

I'm no expert, but after 15 years of having an S2000 garage-queen, I change the oil after 3,000 miles. I may go for a year and half with out changing it. The engine acts like it did the day I drove it off the showroom floor.

I drive ~6000 miles a year.
I change the oil,before storing the car,01-November;May 01,take tha car out of storage,and drive it till next November;been doing that for 15 years,no problem.
