Tien Flex vs Buddyclub
#11
I just had the flex system with the edfc installed about a week ago .
Car is much stiffer than stock .I live in long island so the edfc is a must
and does the job well .No noise so far just the from the motors when making adjustments on the damping .

I wonder why people say the flex are not stiff? It hurts my back to ride in my car after a while and Ihave them all on the default 8/8 setting. No noise from mine, I am actually surprised about these coilovers. Works better than I thought it will for a street setup.

woah this is becoming a tough decision. i would go for the price for buddyclub, but yet, if i hav the extra money i would go with the tein and the edfc.
what prices are you guys paying for your coilovers?
thanks for your inputs.

How bout some Bilstein PSS9's?
They run about $1450 or so. Should be right up there in price with the two you mentioned.
I would suggest the Teins (I had HA's, and they were ok), but I just dont want the green Teins to clash with my berlina...

I paid about $1,679 for the edfc and Tein flex. I got them from Jeff@ evolution. If you don't plan on tracking your car. This setup is gonna be perfect for you.
Like I said, if you install it right. There will be no noises and the edfc will work just like what they advertised. But you've got to follow the installation instructions of the edfc to the tee though. There is no short cut for that.
Hope it helps.

After searching a bit and not really coming up with a good answer, can anyone give a bit more information on PSS9's?
A High Performance System with Sport Tuned Monotube Gas Shocks and Matched Lowering Springs
Evolving from a history of worldwide racing dominance, Bilstein has developed the ultimate automotive performance suspension systems. To insure maximum performance, these systems utilize Bilstein's superior monotube gas shocks, featuring:
Largest available piston diameter for greater sensitivity and precise control.
Patented digressive piston head design and deflective valving instantly reacts to changing road conditions.
Monotube design dissipates heat more effectively than a twin tube shock for cooler, more efficient operation and longer life.
Lighter weight reduces wear and tear on suspension components.
The Bilstein PSS 9 Suspension provides the ultimate in performance tuning. The fully-adjustable monotube gas shock absorbers offer a selection of nine precise compression and rebound settings, from comfort to competition. The front and rear progressive rate springs allow accurate adjustment of the vehicle ride height and center of gravity for the level of performance you seek.
Now you can enjoy the kind of precise suspension tuning formerly available only on race cars. The PSS 9 system puts you in complete control. Whether it's a weekend of competition or the daily commute, absolute handling and control are just a few twists away.
Here's some more info I found:
The spring rates for the front are 345lb main / 85lb tender, and the
rear are 285lb main / 85lb tender. The shocks are not rebuildable. The kit has a
lifetime warranty. The shock height is not adjustable. You can only adjust the damping on the shock. The spring perch itself is the only part that is height adjustable.
