It is not 9. I don't know off hand, I think it is 10m x 1.50

it seems that when i thread with 10 x 1.5 it opens up the threads too much.

it makes sense as i cant find a 9 x 1.5 anywhere.

in the helms it even states 9 x 1.25
which is completely wrong

All Hondas are M10x1.5

M10x1.25 is Mitsu and Nissan

M12x1.75 is the next size up. Can't remember who uses it.

That is the size of the nut, not the size of the thread pitch. All OEM sizes are the lenght of the fastener, not the thread pitch.

Are you sure about that? 1.25 sounds like the pitch. M10x1.25 is very commonly found on these cars. The diagrams I have seen all list the diameter x pitch, never the length (especially for a nut!)

i agree it is not 1.25 as i have a gauge for pitch measure. i will try to thread with 10 since it seems to be the consensus.

when i put a 10x1.5 die on the shifter, it is very loose and has some wobble which makes me think it is probalay a 9
