i did notice a new gauge cluster, shift knob, and radio cover. That's about the only thing I like on the CR.

Existing owners will hate it. honda is targeting new owners. they need to offer the wing as an option or have an option to delete it. overall its not bad without the wing. however its 8 years too late. after 8 years, there is no real performances upgrade. people want hp increase for performances not a bunch of stuff for performances upgrade. when the s2k first came out, it was the leader, now it just follows. can you see BMW rice out the Z4? at least they do it right with their "M" version.

http://www.caranddriver.com/autoshows/1264...a-s2000-cr.html

This was uehera's last hurrah. A tribute to a great man who gave the world three of the most exciting production cars - the NSX, the ITR, and the S2000. If HE thinks that this is worthy, then I'm sure it is. Might not look fantastic, but neither does much of the other crap that some forum members throw on their cars - that ugly spoon bodykit posted above being a case in point.

The funny thing is as someone mentioned above, this is what the "raw" and supposedly "hardcore" dedicated enthusiasts wanted after the "watered-down" AP2 And now everyone's pissed?

-Actual downforce
-Stiffer Suspension
-Lighter Weight
-Stickier, wider rubber
-Shorter throws

All the above echoes what I've read the supposed hardcore folks ask for on this forum. And now I bet the very same folks can't handle the fact that this is truly a HARDCORE machine complete with big ass functional wing and all. Bloody pitiful...

all those things are just trimmings, where is the bigger serving of the main dish?

I don't go and eat a $40 steak because the potatoes are very good.

add 50 hp and no one would care about the big wing.

Between $35K and $40K, according to car & driver. And no, I don't like it ... I don't do enough track days for the added downforce to make up for looking like a ricer all the time.

Oh, IBTL.

Would I buy it? No way...
Do I think a lot of people would? Absolutely.

A lot of people already spend the extra money for the hard top and then buy the toneau cover for the nice days and just leave the top down all season. I am suprised that they didn't do any performance enhancements except add another brace that it probably didn't need in the first place. Maybe it's a different thing but lots of people buy the Si civics too. I don't know much about them but I know they are big sellers.
