I lived for 4 years with New Formula Red and then switched to Rio Yellow.
I've found that the yellow is more people friendly. I've had many more people approach me with a smile and ask what kind of car I'm driving vs the Red.
The red car seemed to always elicit angst and jealousy from other drivers. Strangers would always roll their eyes and say:"What is that...some kind of Porsche?" Also, in traffic it seemed like someone was always trying to cut me off in the red car.
And lets face it....since yellow is a lighter color...it reflects light, thus causing those photons to actually push it through the air faster There you have it....scientific proof that YELLOW IS FASTER.

I had my mind set on red, wife pointed out that collectively we had already owned 3 red cars, and we bought yellow. I has to been experienced in person to appreciate to beauty of this color!

The dealership I bought my Rio from had a left over 2004. I made a ridiculous offer, and they accepted it. I didn't really want Yellow, but it was a deal too good to pass up, so I went ahead and got it. Before purchasing I wondered if I would later regret my decision, or envy silver s2000s I would see on the road.
2 months later, I couldn't be happier. It's a flashy color, but it looks beautiful on this car. Also, in terms of styling, the s2000 isn't really in your FACE, so the yellow gives it a bit more of a kick.
That being said, I got my first ticket about 12 days after taking delivery on my car
So it gets all kinds of attention - good and bad.

I've had my Spa Yellow for 3 1/2 years now and never regretted my color choice for a nanosecond. I've been pulled over only once and wasn't ticketed. When I chose Spa Yellow I considered the fact that sticking out in such a small car has its benefits also. 6,000 pound Hummers may actually see you before they pull out in front of you.
