I've been using Mobil1 and the Honda filter since I had 10K miles on the car. I now have 25,000+ miles. No problems.

Guys;

Go to the Under the Hood forum and read 'Road Rage's' oil cronicles stickied at the top. Be sure to see the oil filter discussion, especially about using non S2000 specific oil filters (other than the "PCX" filter).

Then form your own opinions as YMMV.

A wealth of information from a very sharp guy. You to xviper.

Regards,
BD

Syntec is a natural product. Castrol breaks up the oils natural molecular chain and then rebuilds it. So it is better then regular oil. It really can't compare to a pure synthetic like Mobil 1. The last I looked they were nearly the same price too. Mobil 1 is a better buy ....... more performance for your dollar!!

I've used both, and have heard from sources more knowledgable than myself that Mobil 1 is the better oil. But I mostly go with it because it's a great value. A case of 6 bottles can be bought at Costco for something like $23 or under. Kragen also sometimes has it for sale at a comparable price.
