If the Mugen set grabs too hard you could do some rearend damage. I've been told the stock clutch was designed with a little slip. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this guys, I want to know as well because I am in a long project of an S buildup.

You may be right but, I honestly don't think that Mugen would produce a product that would damage any other part of the car...

After all, Mugen is "THE" authorised tuner of Honda Motor Co.

authorized tuner doesn't = covered under warrenty. The mugen ECU runs leaner than even the 02 OEM unit (which runs leaner than 01). If you have engine failure, and the mechanic says its due to detonation.....they'll blame the ECU.
You really should do a search and read about these mods. Each one has its own quirks....

I remember read somthing about Mugen's engineer interview, and they said that they wouldn't recommend the ECU for street use or somthing in that nature, check around again and make sure before you do it.

"Call me Mugen Snop, Mugen whore, or whatever you like. I would kill to have a Mugen S!"

I never thought detonation would be a problem for me since we have 98+ Octane Fuel (Minimum) in Turkey.

But I keep gathering info from everywhere and so far nothing serious except octane warnings...which I'm safe with...

What I really would like to know is the Mugen clutch set. No one seems to have a definitive description of what this set acts like..Please give me some input....

i wish we had 98 minimum here in california.

an upgraded clutch will do just that. it will "upgrade" your holding power. IMO the only time you will see your rearend get damage is if you like to launch hard from a dead stop. other than that... ive known plenty of people w/ FF and FR cars that havent had problems upgrading their clutch up to a race clutch.

for the mugen clutch

i dont know if youve done any research but i heard good reviews with the exedy clutch/toda flywheel combo.

I also heard about toda Lightweight Flywheel but, my dealer told me that my flywheel was fine...So I thought maybe I'll buy it later on, since It also makes a great combo with Mugen Set...
