Thinking about selling s2k for a 2011 WRX...need advice

If you got rid of both the Civic and the S2K to get the WRX, would you be able to pay the WRX completely, or would you still have to finance? If you can swing it, consider going the route of completely buying the car outright so you have no payments and no debt on the car. Of course, this only works well if your finances allow it, and you plan on keeping the car longer than a typical lease.
I'm also waiting to hear back from my insurance to get a quote. I think I'm going to end up selling the s2k to pay that loan and my credit cards and then finance the wrx. I drove the s again today and I did have fun but I don't think it was anymore fun than the wrx was. I think I'll put it up for sale next summer... I'll be sad to see it go but I think it's right.

I have tried to drive "do-it-all" cars like the WRX, but the bottom line is that there are just inherent compromises with it. No matter how hard Subaru tries, it just feels soft compared to the S2K and other true sports cars. It's good for what it is, but the S2K feels special to drive.
There is something to be said for a purpose built RWD sports car, the feeling of it and its handling cannot be substituted.
I would rather have two dedicated cars that are awesome at what each does, opposed to having 1 year round fun car.
Just my 02.
Give me my 04 Accord and my S2K opposed to a WRX.

Ideally, carrying zero debt and having two cars (one for fun, one for daily) is the best scenario. I know not everyone has this luxury, so it's always a matter of gauging your priorities.
BTW -- there's nothing wrong with a Civic. Why is it embarrassing at your job?

It's an odd situation, the car runs great, maintenance is cheap, no problems whatsoever mechanically...but I've had it for 10 years and it's lowered, tinted, loud exhaust, the paint is horrible on it so I'm slowly plasti-dipping the whole car, so now it's half black and half satin black...it just looks like a ghetto cruiser and I'm supposed to be "professional" at my job. When I show up for meetings in it I feel like I'm borrowing my little brother's car or something. But the damn thing has nothing wrong with it other than it's old technology and I'm tired of driving it. I'm actually having a really hard time deciding to sell it because its so good on gas, haha!

Repaint Civic, put back normal exhaust, and voila! "New" car that you won't be embarrassed to be seen in, and you only have to deal with one car payment (the S).
I think you just want something new and you sound kinda young (late 20's maybe? just guessing). If you want to try something new, then just do it, life is short.
