Here we go again.
For all other newbs, any short visit to the search engine will provide you with enough
"judge judy" threads to keep you busy for hours. They usually pollute the site every few
months from those with s2ki.com ages under a few months (otherwise, you'd have read
one already).
It amazes me that folks actually spend time fretting over other owners interpretations of a
fun S2000 ownership experience. Who gives a fat rat's ass that some goober is putting a TV in his dash? Do I care if an S2000 owner in Utah chooses American Racing wheels over Kinesis? No. How does HIS action or tastes in mods affect MY ownership experience?
S2000 veterans usually leave this topic alone because they've owned the car long enough to realize until neighbors are all buying the same bathroom tile from Home Depot, your car is every bit an individual statement as one's home. I'm waiting for the day when the modification mafia comes knocking on our doors to make sure all S2000 owners are using the same shit paper.
There exists, that I can see, five approaches for S2000 aesthetic interpretations.
1. Stock to mild (new wheels, intake, nice exhaust)
2. Classy (18's or higher, a few body parts)
3. Wild (custom exhaust, paint, Carbon fiber, wing, interior, etc)
4. JDM (expensive but full Japan-only modifications which can range from classy to full on wild).
5. Track (all components chosen to reduce times)
None is any more "right" than another. I have friends who auto-X their car
at every opportunity. Does their approach to how they want their car to work for them have any more merit than someone who simply chooses an AEM and Spugen exhaust, or the guy who wants sideskirts and a new front air dam?
The "correct Caribinari" need to simply calm down and stop worrying what
folks are doing 20 states over. If it annoys you that much to list all the
"keeping you up at night" mods that bother you guys, you're all probably one canard away from knocking on your neighbor's door to bitch about the Kumho tire he chose for his kid's tree swing.
Things you think DON'T belong on S2000's?
Welcome back WRS2K.

This whole thread makes me sick...
You people have really managed make yourselves sound like a bunch of close minded jerks. I mean really what is the point of this thread. Not to mention half of you complaining don't even own an S...
Damn I hate these type of threads... don't you people have something better to do with your time, then complain about someones else's taste in car mod's.
If you don't like it fine.. frankly I really don't give a crap if you think it looks bad or not... I was going to try and explain why people do the things they do to their cars but you people are so close-minded you'll never get... Its sad really

but this is just my 2 cents....like JamieS2k said do what you like and what you think looks good
