Car(hp/tq)-----------0->60---1/4mi---slalom---skidpad---60->0---80->0
CobaltSS(260/260)-------5.4-----13.9-------70.0------0.92------121----214
EvoXGSR(291/300)-------4.9------13.6------71.7------0.97-----124-----217
WRXSTi(305/290)--------5.0------13.6-------69.8------0.90------119----209
S2000CR(237/162)-------5.3------13.8-------71.7------0.99------109----204

Bold = best in metric

The CR has 4 firsts to its name, all in the all important handling and braking departments. Next best is the EvoX in the acceleration department and tied in slalom, followed by the STi. All tested in 2008 except for the CR which was 2007.

Notice no bold figures for the subject of so many threads, the Cobalt SS?

The S - world class after 9 yrs and no (claimed) increase in power!

The S2000 is sort of in a different class...it's a FMR car that's lightweight and has had many years to be tweaked and improved upon. Sure it's cool to see it compete with that sort of company, but honestly it was built to go up against the Miata, MR Spyder, Z4, Boxster, etc.

i dun think those figures tell the whole story.

is it car and driver that does that HUGE car test and compares a huge list of cars based on class. and when they got to the CR, the biggest weakness they linked to the CR was it brakes. i'm guessing brake fade.

i'm not doubting the CR is capable...
but i always grow weary of those standardized tests for car performance.
they're great... but not exactly the whole story. =]

These are some interesting stats.. I wish they would have thrown a decent set of pads on the cr in that first comparison we all saw and hated..

0-60 in 5.3 is fast lol. I thought CR did it slower than previous ones.
