Ouch - sorry to hear! I've done that many a time...

Just don't freak out too much - it's only a car. Besides, there's something sexy about a sports car that has chips and scratches here and there...it gives the car some character plus it lets everyone else know that you actually use your car for what it was engineered to do - drive!

My immediate response to your thread title is yes........................we call it "Street Encounters"

As for your situation, I think they covered it. $hit happens.....often. Try backing into parking spaces in the future. You won't scrape anything and it'll be easier to see when pulling outta the spot.

Been there, done that.
Cursed, forgot, did it again.

Touchup paint is your friend.

These days I give plenty of room up front and remind myself that the S2k is a very short car and no matter how much distance I think there is left up front... the a$$ of the car is still inside the boundaries of the space.

Theres a couple of places that will sell it for well under $500.

Two sites come to mind:

www.hardtopguy.com ~$360

www.handaaccessories.com ~$360

I think people were buying the spoiler for even cheaper through Flagstaff Honda? Might want to give them a call to check it out.

When I got home this evening I washed it and it seems the concrete on it made it look a little worse then it actually was. It was getting dark by the time I was finished so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to really see. If a front lip spoiler is close to the cost of getting it painted I think I'll get the spoiler.

Good man. That's the way to go. But hey, cheer up, at least you didn't crash your S into a guardrail, like I did last night. Wish I could use this excuse to buy a mod (ie. Amuse R1 front bumper) but too bad it costs a left nut and my first born child

That's why I prefer to back in to parking spots (cuz I tend to have problems jugding where those cement blocks are sitting, especially when it's dark)

The butt's a little higher and chances are your tires would hit the cement block first, instead of something else under the car (unless your car is really low ... then your muffler might scratch ...)
