Remember that the NSX came in automatic transmission. I hope they will just leave the S2000 in 6-Speed Manual, it's so much fun.

Hell, BMW will put an auto. in just about all of their cars..
you're kind of right. their F1 transmissions are NOT autos, they are manual, just not in the sense that you think of a manual. The only Ferrari in recent memory offered with a true slushbox was the 456.

to all others, i agree that sports cars *shouldn't* have autos, but to say sports cars don't have autos becomes glaringly untrue after one turn behind the wheel of an SL55.

Yes, but it was only offered on the Spa Yellow and New Formula Red.

It came with the S2000 body cladding and off road package.

Here's a pic from Honda's web page.

As long as manual was standard equipment, and if auto was only an option, it would be OK. I would never buy the auto so personally I wouldn't be effected.

Don't panic. No way would they ever release auto-only. Automatics are a lot less popular in Europe so they'd lose sales big-time.

Spoon has a electronic device which do the clutch thing for you while shifting. (well, you still need to shift by hand from 1-6)
