Default is there a difference between rio and spa?

from my suzuka point of view they seem to look very similar. i'm assuming they're different or they wouldn't have changed the name...can someone explain or post pics of the differences?

p.s. - i would've gotten yellow in retrospect but still love my suzuka

Yeah, they're different. Rio is "darker" in person.

"better" is subjective.

I think Rio looks better in person.

As a Berlina owner and not much of a yellow car person, I'd have to say Rio is better in pictures and in person. It's a bit darker, seemed to have more fleck in it and to me just looks richer. I test drove an '04 Rio and remember thinking it was a pretty decent shade/color for a yellow .

Rio has too much flake. I would probably think different if I owned one though.

Rio pwns Spa in person. In photos it's hard to tell which yellow is which unless they're side by side.

(stolen from the other RIO thread... thx)

Note the SPA in the foreground (nearest to camera) and the RIO in the back.

Rio has a bunch of pearl and metallic flake in it, it's quite a beautiful color to behold in the sun- it subtly shows off the S2k's curves rather well. Not quite as well as Suzuka maybe, but still pretty good .
