I have sucessfully taken scuff marks out of plastic trim using lacquer thinner.

Be very careful as this will DISSOLVE plastic if you use too much or agressively rub.

If you just hit it gently with a little placed on a rag, it will take the scuff mark out.

Some people misunderstood you and thought you were talking about the paint.

Anyway, You can only clean them. You can't sand them as they have patterns on them.

I have some scuff marks on my dash, right about where the passenger's knees would touch the underside edge of the dash, if the passenger were Herman Munster. Someone held a pc case on their lap while I was driving, and I didn't realize until later that it was scraping the dash. Does anyone have a suggestion for this? I can't believe how fragile that dash surface is!

Paint thinner or acetone may work but I'd be concerned abuot causing the plastic to be brittle. This is a common problem with polycarbonate and possibly ABS materials, once they come in contact with an organic solvent they become weak and brittle.

Armor All should NEVER, I MEAN NEVER be used on leather, it will cause premature wear and can ruin the finish of the leather. This stuff is the dinosaur of detailing products, there are specific products for each application. Silicone has been proven to destroy leather and cause other issues with vinyl, etc. Stay away from this product except for hard plastics which is shouldn't hurt.

Try using your leather conditioner on the dash, it should help, I know I have used The Leather Institute Cleaner, Conditioner, and Protector on mine and it got rid of the dash scuffs...temporarily until it wears off months later, but you can always re-apply.

True. Take 2002S2Ks advice, Armor All is the scum of the earth. It actually accelerates cracking let alone leaves the nasty greasy residue. I use Meguires Foam on the dash, Meguires leather cleaner/conditioner for the leather, and Vinylex on the vinyl of course.
