Is there any defects on 03' model?

Only problem I've had with my 03, which has 15k on it, is the top latches rattling. My dealer is going to replace both for me under warranty.

Honestly, I really don't buy it. It has happened to me twice while accelerating from a stop light. In both cases it was 100% driver error. I got alittle sloppy with shifting into 1st and didn't make sure that the gear was fully engaged. If you get sloppy then yes it can happen. But I'm not convinced that this is a problem if you are precise with your shifting.
I doubt that everyone of the cases I've read about has been as simple as not being fully in gear.

I'm not claiming it's a full blown official problem but the issue still exists.

The ones that happen while driving(me two happened during intial acceleration) need further investigation. There might be a problem but there might not also. When the car pops out of gear, it's definately not good for the tranmission. This may cause further transmission problems down the road. However if the intial cause was driver error I am reluctant to say it's a defect. The intial poping out due to not fully engaging 1st may be causeing addition wear that will 'cause the problem to increase in serverity. I think it's hard to say now(and we don't get to see the damaged tranny's either )

Honda has no knowledge on the problem, but it is there.

[QUOTE=S2kracka,Mar 1 2005, 11:40 AM] I can promise you that Honda knew about any problems (if there is any) long before the consumers found out about them.
