Testpipe cel light
So i recently installed my Invidia catback and Testpipe with Cel fix on my 2007. I did not reset the ECU after installation.
About 30 miles into the drive the cel light popped on.
I decided to research how to reset the ECU and unplugged the backup fuse with the key in the off position ... waited a minute, put the fuse back in its place. Started the car back up and the cel light remained on.
Does this mean I need to go purchase another antifouler plug to extend the o2 plug?
Should the Cel have disappeared if the ECU was properly reset? Even if it was to eventually come back on?

Try 2 anitfoulers, but i've read that a member even had 4 antifoulers to no avail. If that doesn't work, you'll probably be stuck with the CEL. Many people have that issue with the newer AP2s.

When you resetted the ECU the light should have went off temporarily. But after driving for a while it will come back on again because you only have the built in CEL fix. I have a Berk's testpipe w/ CEL fix with 4 spark plug anti-fouler and resetted the ECU and it finally stopped. *cross finger*

ive been waiting for a thread like this. most 06+ have had problems with running a test pipe due to the sensitivity of the o2 sensor in the cat. many people have had issues. ive never thought about running 4 anti-foulers but i guess you could try. lemme know how it goes as i do plan on doing this, if not ill just run a high flow cat.

put an invidia on mine...got a cel in about 50 miles...
put two anti foulers on it.. cel went away for about 30 miles then came back on
i dont like cels ...so i took it off my car..going to try a different test pipe
put that same pipe on my friends car that is an 02 ap1.
no cel for 100 miles with one antifouler
Try more antifoulers like turdernos did and report back.. good luck
i might try the berk test pipe too

Same as above.
When I was deployed my car sat for four months. When I started driving it the CEL was off, then on again in 30 mi or so. I've put around 400 miles on the car since I've been back and its been off for the last 300 or so. Maybe the car has finally accepted the fact its suppose to read like that. Either way, I keep a half folded business card for my favorite restaraunt in the center consol to stick in there when it comes back on. CEL = ugly.
