Yeah, but if you already have several thousand dollars invested in Comptech parts, why not pay an extra couple hundred to get their pipe? That was my logic anyway.
Like Emil said, a pipe is a pipe is a pipe. Both the Berk, and the Megan TP have proven to work very well with close to 100% no CEL.

Im with Emil too at this point, that has been my logic and the basic reason for my initial post. Are there any data in proving one is better than the other.

I have the Megan,myself;very nice piece,polished S.S.,nice quality welds,perfect fit,built in resonator (for what it's worth??),and for the rest,it is a straight pipe,not too much technology involved.
Anti-foulers cost me +/-$5.00,(bung is built in)and never had a CEL.
Don"t see why,I would pay $250.00 and up,for a big brand name pipe.

Call Shad at Comptech - option 3 after you dial the number - and ask him. I was having all the parts put on at one time and went with the Comptech because I wanted to be able to just dial Shad if there was an issue with installation or a CEL.

I guess I am biased - I like to stick with one company for all the mods.

I see where you are coming from 100%, my only problem is the price. you have to admit, it's just a pipe.

If I was debating between a DC header and a Toda then there would be the issue of quality, engineering, etc.

or 150 jr bacon cheeseburgers from wendys

but yeah i have the berk tp and it really is a nice product. i've had mine for over 5k miles and still no cell...i just wished they welded some brackets to be able to fit the stock cat heat shield over it to somewhat "hide" it...guess i'll just weld my own

They are all pretty much the same with a straight piece of pipe. With that said, I like the T1R because it allows you to put your stock cat heat shields on it if a visual inspection is a problem where you live. It really doesn't matter which you go with though because you can add spark plug non-foulers to any of them to avoid a CEL, so don't think that berk is the only option.
