Go with the Berk. Great sound, I have it with the Comptech header and exhaust. No CEL, and for $99 shipped, you can't beat it.

get T1R so u can wrap your heat shield around ur test pipe from ur cat, so it looks like a cat. I dunno if u are from Cali, but fines are very steep here if caught using a test pipe! In the thousands range! Not worth the 3-5 HP in my opinion, living out here of course.

I suppose you could say "quality" is also a difference. There have been a couple threads which mentioned cracking on TP welds. I believe berk and T1R have both proven themselves to be quality products.

As far as power, regardless of what you've heard TP's do not make much power. Close to no gains as a matter of fact. They will change the sound of the exhaust though.

If sound is your goal you may consider having the resonator removed from your stock exhaust. That is a good alternative to a TP.

There are a lot of down sides to TPs that are being overlooked.....
state the downsides please?... dont just say that there is downsides

I dislike the smell.

Smell is a downside (for some)

Pollution is another (if you're the type to care)

They are illegal for street use (FINES$$$)

Power gains are marginal (within the range of error on any dyno)........

They replace a perfectly functional OEM part (and run the risk of ratttling and cracking)

I'm sure you can come up with some more on your own.

For the record..... I'm a hypocrite..... I have a test pipe

When people are throwing out slanderous numbers like 5 and 8hp from a testpipe, someone should present the negatives as well.

I have the Berk. No CEL, Great Performance and sound paired up with my Fujitsubo Dual exhaust.

My only problem is the yellow rear bumper i now have (but i guess there are trade-offs with all aftermarket parts)

will the s2000 still pass emissions with the test pipe on? Cali people too?

Yellow bumper?? Dang, do you think this would happen with the stock exhaust as well? Is the yellowing caused by the heat build-up or from the exhaust fumes?

It will be impossible to pass emissions with a test pipe.

Someone in GA claims to have passed SMOG with a Megan TP. However, I think here in the South emission test are less strict than Cali and other places.
