I currently have the mugen dual exhaust on my S, and I'am wondering if i get a test pipe will that make my exhaust any louder??? also do you think that i can see/feel any hp gains from replacing the cat with a test pipe??

Hp gain is small, but throttle response is improved. The exhuast won't sound much louder, but more raw.

My test pipe sure made my exhaust a lot louder. Maybe it wouldn't affect the stock one as much, but if you're running an aftermarket exhaust and then put a test pipe in, you'll definitely hear it.

I have a Vortech, Spugen Dual Ti exhaust, Toda Headers, and now test pipe.

My observations after adding test pipe:

1) Less droning at 4K from inside the car and top up
2) Definately more kick
3) Top down seems louder
4) A bit more raspy tone rather than the smooth deep tone


Overall, I like it.

I have with the amuse dual:

1) Lot louder above 6.000
2) More kick??? do not know my butt dyno is not so accuarate
3) Can hear a exhaust gases passing thrugh the pipe when accelerating hard
