I'm also running the Berk TP with OEM exhaust and have no gas mileage issues.

Syncmaster,

Did you have any experience with winter season last year, or is the car new to you this year?

The issue you're seeing *could* be coincidental with "winter gas." The formulation of most gasolines changes in winter to accommodate lower temperature vaporization.

However, this is a strange coincidence with the installation of your test pipe.
This is the first winter I will have owned the S.

Very strange indeed, I guess my trip this Thursday will paint a better picture.

I think the question everyone should be asking is...

Did you reset your ECU?

I did not reset my ECU. I was under the impression that after a tank of gas the ECU automatically adjusts to the change in flow characteristics.

Does anyone know if this is true, or do I need to reset the ECU?

I wonder if there is another factor that would cause me to eat gas...

I agree.

How lame do owners have to be to heavily pollute the environment in exchange for a mere 6-8hp. Whoop-ti-do. I'm honestly glad that your gas mileage has gone down.

The "one car having a test pipe won't hurt the environment" is utter crock. If everyone used that argument in different aspects of daily life, we'd all be pretty screwed. The cat is there for a reason, leave it in.

What color is your Prius? What? No Prius? Do you walk to work, the grocery store, your friend's/relatives houses? Smoke cigarettes? Eat red meat? Churn your own butter? Fart? Burp? Is Green Mountain Energy your electricity provider?

... from my earlier post:
