I've never driven a porche so I cant say but I love my S.. I Feel like driving now, that it is almost 1 am and the streets are just about empty.

go tell the samething in the porsche forum most likely they will ban you for telling them our S2k felt better than their carrera

the only porsche i have driven is a boxter and that was just pure trash. suspension creaking noise and well i wasnt impressed at all.

But for the money the s2k can't be beat for sure and maybe cars double the money! I truthfully find myself driving my s2000 more than my M3 and ever since my g/f learned to drive stick, I can't find the keys to my car...haha!

But don't bag the new Boxster S - that thing handles razor sharp and slalom times equal an Enzo or Carrera GT! (Magazine says so....)

great car collection!!!! i did drive the new boxsster s a few weeks ago...very nice car...a big improvement over the old one...quick, nice steering and much better shifter and interior...very refined , yet sporty....but with typical equipment , they run 60k!!!! at least the old boxsters can be had for half that due to big time depreciation.....not in the same league as the 911 s, which is veryvery fast and a true performance monster, butalso 25k cheaper....

Porshe owners suck. At our local autocross they will not compete with us cause we are to fast. the set up there own track at the other end of the parking lot. I think they think they are to good for us average ppl. They go so slow around there course it's funny. We make fun of them all the time.

I had a 2004 S2k, and am currently contemplating a 2005 - deciding between another Elise, a 2005 Boxter S and a 2005 S2K. I also own a 2003 carrera 4 cabrio. Totally different car from the S. Heavier, faster, more comfortable, not quite as sharp. Then again, the 911 is several hundred pounds heavier, and has all wheel drive. It also has about twice the torque as the S

They're both nice cars, but I a can absolutely understand the idea that the 911 isn't worth 3x the S. That said, I can understand the opposite as well.
