besides getting the scratch repainted and clear coated, does anyone have a temporary solution for this?

also what's the opinion on color match rub in compounds like gs27 (as seen on tv)?

i had a rock hit my hood and it took out the paint down to the metal. does insurance cover this like damage to winshields?
