On the very edge of my passenger door, I have a tiny chip that has now turned to rust. It's only seeable if you basically look up very very close. Any idea if honda warranties this? even though it was a chip, and not really a manufacturer defect?

nope, that's considered normal wear and tear. Get some touch-up paint and cover it up. Unless you are seriously worried about it spreading then you should replace the entire door or have it cut out and rewelded and painted.

The same thing happened to my wife's Accord; we took it to Honda and they said "Sorry, pal. Wear and tear under normal conditions." We used touch-up paint and moved on. Still looks good and it has not spread; it's been almost a year now.

Wisconsin,
I feel your pain. Out here in Sothern California we don't have the same weather issues, but I have found some rust on my car as well. This was very surprising since I have had it for 2.75 years, have NEVER drivin it in the rain and only have 11,400 miles on the car.
My rust spot is under the hood, near the front left edge. There is a bolt between the front fascia and the fender that holds water when I wash the car. Since I usually wash the car and then store it for a week or two I guess the water build-up caused the rust.
I know this is not on the same level as your rust issue, but I was wondering if anyone else noticed this. The water really doesn't have any where to go and it is hard to dry it out as well.
