Yeah, I thought about that. But then the insurance company wouldn't buy new Recaros anyway, just used reupholstered S2000 seats. OP would be back to square one (minus $500 deductible and possibly with increased insurance rates), so I tried to stick with apples to apples.

you know what i dont get? if a new top is like 2 grand and new oem seats are like 6-9 grand as mentioned above? then how the hell do they get a msrp of 35K for the car aluminum, engine, tires etc?

seat locks FTW!!!!

66 bucks shipped. Search for kodokan seat locks, he's an s2ki'er.

Sure, if someone wants them bad enough they will get them but
seat locks will prevent the "casual thief" from getting them.
