Default A Tale of Two Knobs

Man I wish that search feature was working...

What are the differences that you guys know between the two knobs (00-01 OEM and OEM Ti)? I just got a 'OEM Ti' from a guy on the boards and it feels considerably lighter than ones I held in the past. It also has a spun look to it, when all the pictures (ex: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ge&img=243899) show it as smooooth and polished looking.

I just want to make sure its the real thing and not the 00-01 OEM that was not Ti at all. If anyone has specifics and/or pics of either/both that would help, thanks!

the ti knob is darker. kinda like a matte-ish grey. it's not polished at all. i could barely notice the difference in weight compared with an 04 knob.

You've just described the OEM Al knob. The Ti knob is darker, doesn't have a spun finish, and is heavier.

Just install the knob and you'll know the difference. The Ti knob adds 10 mph to the top speed and shaves a full second off of the 0 to 60 time.

Below is a close-up of my Ti knob wearing a Rick's Knob Sock.

I think that is a member benefit, but with the way the site has been lately there seem to be certain privileges for certain members

Version 5 of S2Ki is in the testing stages (check the Site Info forum for more info), and hopefully that will take care of some of these minute issues.

Got you on the close
