tail lights fading?
anyone's side lenses fading from red to clear? i live in texas, where sun is bright and my tail lights are fading yery quickly. soon it will become a safety issue when the taillights are confused with reverse lights at night. dealer says, 'i've never seen this before... ' but is unwilling to replace for free, due to the fact that it is out of warrantee. i need to find out how to lodge a complaint, so we can get a service bulletin.
help!

i've seen it happen to other people's cars, but not as bad as becoming clear.
i know people have had them replaced, and i would want mine replaced too if they became clear. i'm sure you can get a couple people to complain about it.
good luck =]

Yep, it has happened to both of my taillights. the very center is nearly clear and it fades to red within a couple of inches. Will bring it up when I got in for 30k/warranty/elective stuff next week sometime. I better get new tailights. I don't think that it's due to sunlight since the actual brake lights are fine.
