Super excited about this. I would really like to know what the overall design of it is going to be. I am sure that they are going to be able to give us some examples of what it is going to look like.

I.E. tip design, muffler design, muffler slant etc...

Yeah, once we have enough interested people, we can submit the interest and then a design will be done. At that point is were AJ Racing will really come on the scene for us

[QUOTE=Habitforming,Feb 5 2006, 01:38 AM]Get us a good dyno shot and some video under different driving conditions, so we know what we'll sound like.

Man you sound like a demanding bitch with those demands/requests (that are impossible).

Read the thread and put some thought in to the process before you start typing that shit.
Or you could just shut teh eff up...

Seriously though, I'm not going to sign up for something without any image of what I'll be buying until the money is due. Basically what you're telling me is I should just say I want one, without having any idea of what it will look like, sound like, or perform like.

In my experiences with product development, prototypes are built first to test out the theories behind the design. Decisions are made on what parts will be used before said parts are assembled into the final product. Because of this I would expect I can get a picture of what the muffler/tips will look like, at the very least.

If they're just building it once and then that's it, no more testing, count me out. I would hope some time would be put into checking which pipe combinations provide the best power/weight/sound results, which would then make my requests (not demands) 100% viable.

Maybe if I reword my post slightly, it won't chafe your panties:

"At this point I am interested, but I would like to see some images, sounds, and performace details before I actually put down money on it. So if you want to put me on a list of interest, please go ahead. If you want to put me on a list of buyers, I can only submit to that when I know what I'm getting."

Is that better, sir?

Unfortunately this project doesn't work like that. There are no pics and no dynos, because this exhaust does not exist and won't even be built until 30 people say yes they want it. I'll say it again....this isn't for everyone. We are trying to generate interest to see if there is a want for this. Once I have 30 people, I can submit this to AJ Racing for further development. Development takes money and it's foolish to spend money on something if there is no want for it. If it were already built, this thread would not exist.

Here is what we know after one week: T1R has decided the best flow is 70mm into two 63mm pipes to both canisters and that it can be built in titanium. T1R isn't going to build something that doesn't work. This isn't a company that just throws stuff on the market because a computer program says it works. It is a company willing to work with us on such a project to create a limited run of this exhaust, with the reputation of builty quality high performance products.
So we will never have any idea of what we are getting until it arrives at our door? I've never seen a project that doesn't work like that (being able to provide information and media before purchase). T1R must get very lucky every time they design an exhaust, for it to perform so well on the only test piece they ever make...

Is this website a place to discuss S2000 related information and products, or just a test bed for flaming people when they don't have their meaning perfectly well articulated, or have slightly infringed the rules on a technicality? (This is not only directed at you, I could probably find an example in 90% of threads on this website)

Seriously, I feel like I'm talking with veteran hall-monitors on here sometimes. Sorry, but I don't have a hall pass..

This is a list of interest. I started this because I want a dual exhaust, (because I think it looks better on the Ings bumper), but with the benefits more towards having a single exhaust. I don't want a custom exhaust (ie. stainless piping with universal mufflers), that just doesn't appeal to me. (I want JDM) If this doesn't work out, the only other exhaust I would buy would be an Amuse. T1R though is a reputable company that is willing to work with us if the interest in building such an exhaust is there. AJ Racing told me a couple of weeks ago that they didn't think there was an interest. I guess I'm trying to see for myself. I'm confident that if enough interest is there that T1R will get us the performance we want and need. They won't make anything just to make it, but they won't waste time and money to design something either if there won't be anyone there to buy it. That's where all of us come in. My job, is to provide AJ Racing with interested people. After that, they would approach T1R. Once developed, a new thread would be started showing designs, price, etc. At that point, all interested people would be plunking down the cash so that the exhausts would be built. We have an opportunity to have something very exclusive. I'll say it again.....we have an opportunity. It may or may not pan out. That is what we are trying to see. Trust me though when I say this (and have some confidence in a company such as T1R), it will be titanium, it will be light, it will gain power, it will be geared towards those with power making mods (ie. turbo, supercharger), it will look amazing.
