Does anyone reccomend using synthetic oil in our high reving cars? I haven't had an oil change yet and was wondering what everyones opinion was on this topic.

I recommend it. But wait until your 2nd or 3rd oil change when the engine is more likely to be fully broken-in. This is what has been communicated to me. I switched over to Mobil 1 10W-30 synthetic at 7500 miles and the engine is running as good as ever.

If you plan to use Amsoil, it is such a good detergent that I would recommend going to it after you drop your break in oil.
If you wait too long(say greater than 12,000 miles) the Amsoil will remove any sludge(if there is a build up in the engine). Any sludge removed could reduce your oil filter efficiency since it winds up there.
If you elect to wait I would suggest cleaning your crankcase with an appropriate crankcase cleaner prior to going to Amsoil(verify this with your Honda mechanic first).
I have used Amsoil in all my vehicles and it works very well.
