just curious, do the new S2K's come with red carpeting or black carpeting when you get the red/black scheme?
Red carpeting, black dash, black door panels with red inserts and of course the red seats with black bolsters. <- then again I'm partial to the interior.

Everyone I've talked to in the S2000 community that has all red or all blue interior wasn't so sure about it when they got it, but grew to love it and would not go back to a plain black dash or panels.

As a new member without a 2000, (soon to be WITH a new 2000 !), my vote is the Sebring Silver. Gotta have that red/black interior !

I just located one and am in the process of negotiating before the month is up.

I think the SS is classy, tastefull, good looking, etc., etc.

My second choice is the red but it may be too "in your face" for the local boys in blue.

Wouldn't it be interesting to know what personality types prefer certain colors?

Any psychologists out there ??? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

madkimchi,

Don't let the "plainness" of the Sebring Silver fool you. I like to think of it as "the girl next door" in that you don't realize how beautiful it is until you own it, live with it and really take a good look at it.

It is iridescent in that it changes color depending on how the sun or light is hitting it. Sometimes it looks white, sometimes like stainless steel, sometimes like silver and sometimes like darker grey.

Like you, I wanted some color and would have bought the Suzuka if not for the blue interior. I bought the Sebring and am absolutely delighted with it. If anything happened to mine, I'd buy the Sebring again.

It is truly "the girl next door".
that was pretty.

When I got mine in 02 I had a choice between the silver and the blue. I chose the blue and would do it again.

Here's something I once posted about the colors.

Yellow is the hottie of the group. It is the 19 year old in a mini skirt and high heels. It is the color that shouts, "Look at me". It is the attention getter. The head turner.

Red is a string bikini on the French Riviera. It is suntanned and sexy.

Silverstone is formal and sophisticated. It is grey flannel and French perfume properly worn. It is a well tailored suit and a glove leather handbag.

Black is strong and powerful. She is the chairman of the board, the self made millionairess. She is the one to watchout for. She will buy your company and put you out.

White, and to a lesser degree, Suzuka, is icy and aloof.

Sebring Silver is the girl next door. You don't notice her at first, but when you finally open your eyes, you realize that she is the most beautiful of all. And she is the one you want to spend your life with.

Rob, you KNOW that you are so sorry you didn't get a Suzuka, right?

If not for the blue interior, I might have bought the Suzuka. Fortunately, I made the right decision for myself. I love the Sebring and the black interior. Sebring is the girl next door, not flashy but quietly the most beautiful. That suits me.
