Default Be sure to always check your tire pressure

After reading another post yesterday it reminded me to check my tires. So I drove about 10m to a station and checked. Rears where 20lbs and the Fronts where 25Lbs

Good news is that my car drives really good now

make sure to check the pressure before you drive a lot

as you drive, the air in the tires heats up and expands; this may throw the PSI reading off by as much as 6 units

When I was a youngster I crashed my VW squareback into a pole at about 30-35 mph due to [ not fixing my ] low tire pressure. I hit it so square that the hood ornament stuck in the pole. There was a 3 foot V-shaped crumple zone. Probably good I was in a rear engine car, actually. No I wasn't stoned and / or drunk and /or tripping and / or wired on various other chemicals at that particular time.

My front passenger side tire has an annoying slow leak. It will lose enough pressure over about 10 days that it won't even push the tire pressure thingy up at all. The tire still looks like it's full though, it's strange. When I checked the pressures for the first time since I owned the car about a month ago they were all at about 20-25 psi (besides my leaky one that was at about 15). I check pressure bi-weekly now.

Okaaaaaaaaaay...why don't you take *that* tire and have it checked at a service station for a nail or something? That needs plugged or replaced. It isn't going to fix itself. And its a danger to you, your car, and others.

Actually, I've been amazed how well the S03s hold their tire pressure. I never have to add air, and I check fairly often.

Yes, absolutely!!! If you've got a slow leak get it fixed at a tire shop! You really don't want that to turn into an avoidable blowout.

I've had my car for close to a year, the pressure changed 2 pounds in all that time, so pretty good, stored all winter as well!

Just another tip:
Check calibration w/ more than one gauge. I had a flat replaced and the shop's indicator was 7 # off (less) than mine. I didn't find out till after 45 minutes of them looking for a slow leak when I decided to check the air in the other tires w/ his gauge.
Went out soon and bought a better gauge than the ol' 5 dollar clip on, supposedly factory inspected, blah blah blah. The irony: the ol' gauge was only of by a #.
What is the Real pressure?

Here is my gauge dilemna:

$15 dollar gauge from autozone - 32 psi.

Exchanged for differene gauge, same model - 36 psi.

Darrin from Westend Alignment - 40 psi.

Arnel from America's Tire Co. - 37 psi.

Friend's digital gauge - 35 psi.

What the fuq??? i ended up using Arnel's reading since it was relatively in the middle.
