Great topic for a newbie owner like me, thanks guys. Drove from Davis to Santa Cruz a few weekends ago, got out of my car, gf was like holy snap, ur red... I guess you tend to forget how the sun can affect you when the weather goes from sub 60 to above 90 in two days. But yeah, going to the gym now results in ridicule cuz of my farmer;s tan and I also got heat rashes on both my arms- lesson learned.
Anyone know anything about a sunblock with aloe or for sensitive skin (I got really sensitive skin made apparent by my heat rashes)?

I can't stand using sunblock or creams. I'd rather a longsleeved shirt and a cap if I'm going to be driving top down.

I also use the neutrogena, although I still leave a small hand towel in the car, as I don't like getting any remnents on my steering wheel and shifter.(If I always applied it 20 minutes prior to getting in my car, this wouldnt be a problem, but how many people remember...)

Another vote for the Neutrogena. That stuff works very well even when you are playing sports, and doesn't leave your hands greasy for the wheel/shifting.

As a side note on the spray on stuff. I had a friend who used it on his back before going to the beach, but failed to rub it in. He had a bright red back with white spots. I wish I had a picture of it - we were laughing our a$$es off at him.

Ironman Waterblock 8hr SPF44

Try this stuff: waterproof, sweatproof, scentless, not greasy. I have really sensitive skin and this and Ocean Option (which is pretty hard to find) are the only sunscreens I can put on my face without looking like a 15yr old acne case the next day. For those interested, it will also withstand at least 4 hours of surfing if you apply it 30 minutes before you get in the water to let it properly absorb into the skin. The 2oz size fits almost anywhere too: cup holder, glovebox, side pocket so you can always have some around. It's a little on the pricy side, but sunburn sucks and skin cancer isn't cool...

^This is what I use. It has no scent, and it works very well. I put it on this weekend when I washed a truck and an RSX, and I was burned on my back where I couldn't reach, but fine where I could.

Lubriderm (purple bottle) with spf 15. Works pretty well. Not water resistant though.
