Default Suggestions for a new car?

Well I got out of my car today to find that someone had hit my left front fender...it could've happened today or yesterday, as I've been parked in the commuter lot both days...damage is not too bad, however the paint was stripped all the way to the sheet metal

Anywho, this incident along with some other randomly placed keyings and dings has really pushed my patience level with my car here at school. I'm seriously considering finding her a new home and moving down to something lower on the food chain. (that wont be AS MUCH of a strain on my mind)

Now my question is, what would be a good choice? I obviously want something not as expensive, yet performance and cool factor are number one priority still. Any suggestions on what might fit the bill?

Keep the S and buy a used bike (beater if you want), then you can park in the motorcycle lots. The bike lots at my school have better parking than a lot of the handicapped spaces.

agreed. bikes are good for college. or else a 94 accord is a sweet beater.

Keep the S, just get a beater for school parking. Mid 90's Prelude or an Integra would be my choice for a beater. I have a 91' Prelude for the people who can't keep their hands or their cars to themselves.

Or as previously stated, a bike is a cheap way to go also.

I have to agree a cheap bike would be perfect for taking to campus. Bikes always got the sweet parking spots; as mentioned above, better than the cripple spots.

what's wrong with taking the bus? the public transportation system in blacksburg is top notch and it costs you nothing. leave the car at home where careless dumbasses can't harm it.

Everything is wrong with the bus... if you've been driving for a long time and you suddenly have to take the bus again, that's a very raw deal.

As far as a replacement goes, I would probably pick up something like a subaru wrx used or a new Scion TC or a 2005 Mustang.

Yeah the WRX was more along the lines of what i was thinking...the bus is definately an alternative, but like slasher said, it's kinda hard to go back to it after driving for so long. Plus, i dont wanna go into hiding becuz a few people are idiots...i just wanna reduce my risks (aka get a less flashy/expensive ride).

Keep throwin out suggestions...i'm very open at this point...
