So according to that vid, if we get a nice lip and can break about 100 before deer impact....we should be good. Get a nice lip and like a 300 shot of Nitrous rigged up to a big button with the John Deere logo on it, good to go!

My cousin had a similar incidence before. He tried to avoid a deer, hit the gravel and flipped the car. The car rolled and was fortunate enough (yes this is fortunate) to hit a telephone pole. The telephone pole stopped his car from flying over an embankment. The insurance company didn't believe there was a deer involved. If he hit the deer, his car might not have been written off, and there would've been evidence too!

I think the "see a deer, floor it" advice was adapted from the instruction that has been given to large 18-wheeler drivers. It wasn't meant for cars, it was meant for trucks that are more likely to get out of control and jackknife or lose their entire loads, whereas a car has much better maneuverability and ability to drop speed quickly.

It sucks but I don't think there's anything you could've done about it. You lost a car (albeit a nice car) but you're okay. Write it off an move on.

Good luck finding a new toy!
