Substantially faster NA s2k?
my thoughts on all the worthwhile mods as far as going faster in a straight line...
cold air intake
mi tech header
test pipe
single exhaust
tune.
light flywheel
carbon fiber driveshaft
lighter wheels in the rear about 5lbs each
after all of this do you think there would be that much more of a difference against a stock S in the quarter mile? I was thinking 2 car lenths or somthing in that realm. Also anything I missed as far as a worthwhile mod?

Surprised the OP didn't mention gears at all. That's the most sure fire and reliable way to increase acceleration in this car. Another good choice is a Hondata reflash on an AP2 V3. His list of mods would seem to do as much for handling as 1/4 mile times.

Well the S can handle a 75 shot of nitrous on stock timing and everything, anything more than that I would get an EMS. Also nitrous is very safe if you take the right precautions, and it will put you into the low 13's with all of your mods. That would be the best bang for the buck.

Am I the only one who reads this and thinks 'Dude cannot drive the car the way it was built?'
I've rarely met a person who is good enough that can use more power in the turns than this car offers stock. You see great drivers chasing down 2-3 times more powerful cars on the track. So maybe learning to be a better driver would help you more?
If you're building a drag car your fastest and cheapest way to improve your times is two fold
1. Gut the car
2. Gears - get one built for boost as...
Anything outside of these two things are just wastes of money. Step into the NA section to learn more.

When most people say that want it faster(especially since he mentioned 1/4 mile in his post) they mean straight line acceleration which this car lacks stock.

NA modification on NA cars are usually more for driving feel, throttle response and liberation more so than for power
having a lot of experience with my last car if your going for NA power you need to be ready to unload a lot of cash for very little gains
especially on a car where modifications are very highly priced and sought after
