stupid question...but my wheel is stuck after pulling all the lugs off... what gives?

If it's really stuck on there, once you get it off, check to make sure the brake caliper isn't sticking. Look for abnormal pad wear. Heat from a dragging brake would speed the corrosion that makes it stick.

I watched a tire mechanic do it by simply turning his back to the wheel and giving the top of the tire a solid backward kick with his heel. Came right off.
