what does ap1 and ap2 stand for?

dumb question, but just wanted to know for clarification

AP1 = 00-03 S2000 with 2.0L engine and 9k redline

AP2 = 04-up S2000 with 2.2L engine and 8k redline (in US)

It's more specifically the chassis code for the car. Everyone outside North America get AP2 chassis' with a 2.0L engine.
