Read about the stone guard issue. then make your vote as a member of the jury. since everyone is tlaking about the legal issues, it would go in front of a jury of your peers, here we are:

Even though I'm very tempted to say guilty, I don't think I have sufficient facts to make a proper judgement.
One thing that's clear, IMO is that StonGard has handled this very poorly. I hope for their sake that, like Scot said, the person who made the post as StonGard's CEO is a phoney.

I've heard arguments from both sides. Undecided about the issue myself. Will I buy Stongard for my car? Yes, I will. The post, whether or not you believe its phoney or the truth, I can only assume that it would be truthful, given the email address attached to the profile. Of course, you will say that can be just a lie too, but I'll be gullible enough to believe it.

But at this time, I am unable to vote. Its not my call.

No one has any evidence either way. However, Stongard does not know how to handle PR.

Insufficient evidence to render a verdict from me. I think the only thing at this point is that StonGard is guilty of some very bad PR.

Until more evidence comes to light, I am going to wait to be the hanging judge...

For those of you who think that Stongard is innocent:
what is your theory for how the damage occurred?

(I am assuming that those who say insufficient evidence or undecided did not vote.)

y2ks2k, could you edit the poll to have a choice for 'insufficient evidence to convict' or something along those lines?

And yes, Tanq, I haven't voted either way because my choice is not represented...

I agree with greg, if you could edit the poll and add in another entry for undecided or something of the like, then I'd vote. thanks!

Well regardless if they are guilty or not I think they should satisfy their customer.

As posted in the StonGard response thread, where does that leave the dealer???

IMO, he is first responsible for the problem and taking care of it, regardless if the product is in fact faulty!!
