yeah i too hated it at first. I could never get it to fit on. I then realized my top was not folding fown all the way due to the 2 strechy frame "closers" that where streched out. I replaced them and now it fits like a glove.

the trick is to store the cover layed out flat on something. I store it above my garage.

Pretty funny. My '01 with 112k miles hasn't ever had the boot on! That thing is still hanging in my garage, as new.

I don't mess with it. Most people around here don't seem to either.

Had mine 4 years and its been on a total of 3 times. Totally useless. I don't feel comfortable leaving my top down when parked, and I'm not going to take it off and put it on every time I get in the car. I would onlt use it if taking pics or showing the car.

I'm totally, totally broke (just realized that I have $16 in my account last night, oops!), but if anyone wants to send me their unused boot, I'd be happy to give it a wonderful home on a beautiful car and clear up some space in your garage! I'm sure that I can find some cash in my seat cushions and cover shipping!

You know you want to! Help out your fellow man!

I may give it another shot, but am not really anticipating it fitting well.

Are there any major problems with not using the boot considering that I don't have the top down that often and wouldn't go topless for long drives all the time?

Like I said, I haven't used the boot for the entire lifetime of my vehicle. Nothing bad will happen without it regardless of how long your drives are.

Used mine a couple of times, looks good but a pain if you need to take it of when you're away from home.

Black Knight: You're quite new here,so you can be forgiven for reviving a discussion area which has been going on forever. My boot cover is more than seven years old, and its 'virginity' was taken away by the dealership's salesman, who demonstrated it to me. The day I brought the car home, I transferred it directly to a dingy corner of our garage, where it has collected an incredible quantity of dust and will continue to do so for the indefinite future.

Wow. I told you not to spend all your pennies on that car! Start saving for a rainy day now! You don't want to be one of those "I wrecked my S2000 because I couldn't afford new tires" guys.
