how do you check the balance of a driveshaft.....I am guessing i need I shop to do this??...but why would i have this problem with only 24K miles??

xviper....if i could remember correctly i might have felt it under other accelerations point aswell...but it is most noticeable at 70+mph!

The vibration may be more noticeable at specific conditions of gearing and drivetrain load. It may very well be that 6th gear at that road speed at that throttle position provides the best conditions to produce that vibration.
It would be easy enough to test the CV joint theory by doing moderate to heavy acceleration from lower speeds in lower gears. Do it on a relatively smooth road surface to rule out bumps and such. Turn off stereo so you are not distracted.

Not necessarily. Perhaps new CV joints. However, try swapping them from side to side so that you begin a new wear pattern as already suggested by Trich. This may provide you with a resolution that may not rear its ugly head again for some time.

swap the inner joints around. you have to take apart both axles, swap the part of the joint onto the other axle, and put a new boot on each. its been done, there's a thread on it somewhere. swaping the joint halves around gives the other part of the joint an undamaged mating surface.
