I know this question has to have been asked before, but .........
Where does Stewie come from? I find it hard to believe that there is a Japanese car engineer named Stewart.

I'm guessing it was derived from STOOK. Also, it can be pronounced S-TOO-K. And then ppl just found other nicknames like STEWIE. Well, thats my guess. I'm pretty sure there are other reasons.

If I am understanding your question right, thats my reasoning. If I misunderstood, disregard my post and EXPLAIN better.

 

You understood correctly and your attempt is appreciated. I guess it's one of those things that everyone says, but doesn't really know what it means. Your reasoning is sound, I'll buy it.

Im pretty sure it comes from S2 = Stew and then changed to Stewie cause its more of a nick name.
