Stereo Install (Big!)
#11
Sorry Zoinks... no pics but its easy. Try to take out the whole area of carpet cover in the back. Which is the area TOWARDS THE LEFT of the spare tire. See the pic you provided...
There is a little room over there to shove in the amp, being careful with wires ofcourse & also keep in mind the fuel tank is right underneath there. Just get it in there and job well done.

BTW, the $40 was for the stereo install and remote program. The mounting kit for the head unit is not included in that cost.

40 bucks for the install and programming is good! I usually get 40-50 for it. Plus the cost of the mod and wiring harness.

Now for the subwoofer. I like the all-round sound of 10' woofers from JL Audio and they had a pre-fab box that fit pretty well in the trunk. I'm going to have a custom enclosure made in the next few weeks, but this box satisfied me for instant gratification. I want a fiberglass custom box and it takes about a week to have them made. The custom enclosure will fit in the trunk well and have handles on it so I can remove it for long trips or track racing. If it works well, I can have duplicates made if anyone else is interested in purchasing one.

Looks like a nice setup Zoinks, Im in the north dallas area and have been looking for an installer/retailer for audio goodies. I will check them out this weekend.
Any chance we could hook up sometime so I can get a listen?
