My S2K isn't stock, but I'd describe it more as an ear-splitting, spine snapping kind of luxury vehicle. Fits like a coffin, rides like a rocket. -Pete :hello: |
ForbesAutos Top 10 Lists

It always makes me wonder when a thread like this is started by a non-owner.

I think his question is an honest one.
Its not like he was asking how to steal the vehicle. :) |
Thanks, gents.
1) It's a sincere question by a would-be 2007 S2K owner. I'm just tryin' to get smart _before_ shit happens this time, instead of after, like I usually do. But I can understand the reaction. I figured it was a provocative question. 2) Knowing how they are stolen, and what is stolen, helps me be on guard. For example, I knew a guy who kept having his Honda (or Acura, I can't remember) broken into because the thieves wanted one thing and one thing only, i.e., a computer of some sort that was in the dash. Nobody ever took the car itself or anything else. I gather the thieves were able to fence this part at a high rate of return. 3) I would never have guessed that someone would want to steal seats. That's a new one on me and helps me to think about how I could protect the car (OEM hardtop?). 3a) So, what's a seat lock? Can you give me a web link? 4) If this car is on any darn Most Stolen List, then I'm gonna get massacred by my insurance company . . . but if I keep my junky Toyota, I can tell them the S2K is my weekend-only second car . . . ? 5) I ain't out to steal nobody's stuff. I have a Yamaha R1 and we think about people making off with our bikes all the time. It just becomes part of your thinking. 6) L.A. is not the car-thievin'-est town I have ever lived in. Boston in the '80s was. But, like I said, I sometimes wind up on not-so-good streets late at night. Again, thanks. I welcome more info. Marrk P.S. Joining this Forum has been a very useful and enlightening experience for me. I'm glad to be here, and I hope soon to be an S2K owner and a _fully participating_ member of the club! |
The seat locks are like wheel locks for your seats. Same concept.
Here is a link for more info. I dont think the guy sells them anymore. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=183504&st=0 |
depending on what the thieves want, u might want to concider a steering wheel quick release. take the steering wheel where ever u go, there for, they can take what ever, BUT the car!! (taking into account they dont have a spair steering wheel)

Any car can be stolen if the right people want it enough.
