Stealing An S2k?
The last statistic I saw indicated that Hondas -- at least some models -- were at the top of the Most Stolen Vehicle List.
Is the S2K a popular car for thieves? Is a stock S2K without any aftermarket alarm, etc., more vulerable than any other car of its type (convertible)?
Just wondering. I'm in L.A., and have occasion to street park in less-than-nice neighborhoods.
Thanks.

lol... its not too hard. but yes an S2000 is near the top of the list. There is one "gang" if you will, in miami that ONLY steals s2000s. PROTECT YOUR SEATS!!! these tend to be the most stolen items out of the car.

If someone wants your car that badly, they are going to steal it. An alarm won't prevent it IMO. It sucks, but that's the way it is. This is why they should have the death penalty for stealing. I think that Honda's are at the top of the list probably more for tegs and civics.

Got my S2000 stolen 1 week ago. It was in my appartment complex's 2nd underground garage.
My appartment is just in front of a police station...
So yes if someone wants your car, there's no stopping the bastard.

Honda Civics and Accords are stolen at a much higher rate than S2000s. S's have seats stolen more than anything it seems.
Taking steps like getting seat locks, an alarm, a kill switch, LoJack, etc, will help keep your S safe.
