Default Static Tint.

Can you get this or is it non existent. I want to cover the rear plastic window that is all scuffed up. Is this something any tint shop would have, and how well does it work.

i used to have it on my protege and it worked great. its much easier to apply but it is also much thicker then regular tint. i guess since you are only putting it on the rear window it should be ok. but if your rear plastic window is scuffed already this is just going to make your visibility worse. although it is very easy to take off if a cop makes you.

You can get it at pretty much any auto parts store. I did my rear window in 20% and it turned out great, put the top down all the time and I still have not got any bubbles, and it did't reduce visibility, things are not as clear but you can still see everything.

Have someone machine buff out the plastic window for you, then put the static tint on it. You can get the static tint (enough for 5 applications) over at Lowes btw and do it yourself.
