Started my car this morning and no Power steering?

I found this old thread in the archives while researching a problem I just experienced (MY04).... thought it may help someone else out since I haven't seen it discussed before.
I was leaving a restaurant after picking up take out food this afternoon... perhaps I was in a hurry to drive off. As I am backing out I notice the car is much harder to steer and "EPS" is lit on the dash. I shut her down, popped the hood and checked all the fluid levels. Not finding anything wrong, I restarted the car, EPS light goes off and I have power steering again. Seems consistent with the above theory (I hope) but if so, it seems odd that this is not more commonly discussed.

At the time, I did not know what the "EPS" light even signified, checking under the hood for obvious problems never hurts (relatively new owner).
But thanks anyway for cutting me some slack brother. I may have had my power steering pump stolen, but at least I didn't loose my sense of humor or willingness to help someone else out!
