Sorry, just cannot get into that scene, and hate seeing great handling S2k's and other actual sports cars turned into useless frame draggers that handle like dog crap. Already have witnessed what it takes to get a stanced 350Z back into shape to use as ant autox car. That was sad. Pretty much everything under that car down to the subframes and driveshaft had to be replaced due to being complete junk after what the previous driver did to it. I learned a good lesson from a friend on that, never buy a car that has been stanced if you expect to make it a good car again :P Cost way more than he planned for sure.
But to each their own! If that is your thing, go for it I guess.

I was overjoyed around 2005 when the "JDM" mod craze started, because it meant properly-sized wheels, properly-spec'd suspension and brakes and minimal body mode, i.e. function over form, because finally the way I modded my cars was considered cool.
Some stanced stuff looks good to me (bagged luxobarges), other stuff (massive camber) less so. IMO there's a fine line between "just right" and "an elephant sat on it" but if the owner's happy then all power to him/her. The great thing about car culture is that it accommodates all tastes, and my opinion is irrelevant to someone on the far side of the world.
