Default stability at higher speeds

Well i don't drive at high speeds often....but at higher speeds the car doesn't feel very stable.I'm sure it's because the car is light but what can i do to get the car more stable at higher speeds....?

Peace
David

Check your alignment
Get some S03s
Keep your top up (get a hardtop)

Define "higher speeds". Define "unstable".

At about 110 mph or so I can start to feel the aerodynamic forces on the car start to push it around a bit. The car gets lighter and the turbulence gets stronger, both of which you can feel. But the car is still stable.

In a 120 mph corner, the car is still controllable, but again you can definitely feel the lift.

If you have alignment problems or suspension problems (or driving technique problems) the high speeds are going to bring them out.

i ussually spend a lot of time 100+ and at least once a day hit 130+, I find the car very unstable at high speed compared to other cars i have had especially with the top down. its not that its unstable on a smooth road, it is just that it doesn't handle road transitions well. On a straight smooth road, i woulnd't have a problem opening her up all the way, but if theres a decent size bump you just might wind up saying hello to your maker. ALWAYS know your road if you insist on driving fast and don't do it around other cars... your own life is onething, but with other people there, its not fare.

I live in Vegas and i go to LA about every 2 months or so and when i'm driving in the middle of nowhere i take it past 95+ and the car just seems like it's about to start flying...getting ready to lift off....if you know what i mean...now...what i'm asking is can i do something to my car to make it more stable...I got some H&R ajustables on my car and i got the alignment done,so i don't think thats it.I remember riding in my friends 02 s2k a while back and it seemed like it did the same thing.maybe a 300 lbs girlfriend would do the trick....

Yes, don't drive it so fast.

Or install a wing.
