Spun out and hit guard rail last night
Was taking the onramp last night, and next thing I knew I was fish tailing and spun 360 and hit the guard rail. The damages are to the front passenger and quarter panel of the car. The car drives fine as I drove it all the way home. Only have liability coverage on the car. Looks to be totaled and not worth fixing. Does anyone know what I can realistically get for it?

Ouch! Damn that sucks man. Looks kind of bad, but actually shy of the one rear quarter, everything else looks to be diy bolt on parts. I don't know what your financial and time situation is, but you may be able to slowly source out some decent used sibring parts to put her back together and then have a body shop take care of that one rear quarter. Another thing you have going for you is its the most common color.

Man, I was worried about a little ding on my fender from my dog running into the other car's open door in the garage.
Not sure if the wheels or frame was affected but I tend to agree with Junky above.
What happened, wet roads? Your tires look like they are in decent shape.

Who's gonna "total" a car with no insurance?

Have to compare the cost of repair and the value of the repaired car to the net cost of selling off the parts and buying a "new" one.

Assuming the motor/drivetrain is all in good condition along with the rest of the interior part out, and suspension etc. Putting asside all the time and effort to dismantle and part the car out which is what will yield you the most money, say $5000. If your lucky someone will take it as is and give you $2000-$4000 for it depending on if its a member/enthusiast or General junkyard. The cost to fix should fall within that $2000-$4000 mark, so you could be close to breaking even, however $2000-$40000 or even $5000 isn't enough to buy another worthy/driving S2k, but you will have one if you fix yours, so thats the way I look at it. If your done with S2000's now and just want to cut your losses and replace it with a 2001 Civic for the money you get from this, then thats something you have to figure out for yourself.

I had a scare this summer driving in rain on the interstate. It can happen. The S2k ain't like a sedan in rain. The moment I see wet roads now I slow way down and drive like the grandfather I am.
